Simran Budharup lashes out at Lalbaugcha Raja organisers

Simran Budharup took to Instagram and shared a video with a strong note, explaining what happened at the holy site in Mumbai. In the video, the bouncers can be seen trying to push the actress and her mother away. Simran claimed that the bouncer also snatched her mother’s phone. Simran is also visibly angry with the treatment she and her mother received at the Pandal, despite being a well-known television actress.

The famous Pandya Store wrote, “A really disheartening experience at Lalbagh Cha Raja Darshan. Today, I visited Lalbagh Cha Raja with my mother to seek blessings, but our experience was marred by the unacceptable behaviour of the staff. A man from the organisation snatched my mother’s phone while she was clicking the photo (he was in the queue behind me, not that he was taking extra time as it was my turn for Darshan), and when she tried to get it back, he pushed her away. I intervened and was treated roughly by the guards. When I started recording this behaviour of theirs, they tried to snatch my phone too (in this video I am shouting “Mat Karo! Kya Kar Rahe ho aap!”). It was only when they found out that I am an actor that they backed off.”

Simran further mentioned that people visit the holy place with good intentions, but the treatment meted out to the devotees by the organisers is very bad. She said, “This incident highlights the need for awareness and responsibility. People visit these places with good intentions, seeking positivity and blessings. Instead, we are met with aggression and disrespect. I understand that managing crowds is a challenge, but it is the responsibility of the staff to maintain order without misbehaving or harming the devotees.”

“I am sharing this to bring attention to the issue and I hope it serves as a wake-up call for event organisers and staff to treat visitors with dignity and respect. Let’s work together to create a safer and more positive environment for everyone,” Simran concluded.

The video is now going viral on social media and netizens have started coming out in support of her.

We are preparing Simran Budharup’s detailed account of what exactly happened. Stay tuned.
