Six Vistara flights receive new security threats; The following airline protocol to ensure the safety of passengers.

Vistara has confirmed that the airline received ‘security threats’ on social media for six flights that operated on October 20, 2024. The flights include flight UK25 (Delhi to Frankfurt), flight UK106 (Singapore to Mumbai), flight UK146 (Bali to Delhi), flight UK116 (Singapore to Delhi), flight UK110 (Singapore to Pune) and flight UK107 (Mumbai to Singapore).

In accordance with protocol, the carrier said that it had informed all relevant authorities and that the safety procedures indicated by the authorities were followed. “As always, the safety of our customers, crew and aircraft remains our top priority,” a Vistara spokesperson said.

Earlier in the day, IndiGo Airlines said it had received bomb threats on six of its flights, with flight 6E 58, operating from Jeddah to Mumbai, receiving a security-related alert. Upon landing, the plane was isolated and all customers disembarked safely. “Ensuring the safety of our customers and crew remains paramount in all facets of our operations. We worked closely with the relevant authorities and standard operating procedures were followed. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this situation may have caused our customers and appreciate your understanding,” said the carrier.

Officials said flights from Delhi to London, Paris and Hong Kong received bomb threats.

“Vistara flight UK17 operating from Delhi to London was diverted to Frankfurt as a precautionary measure. The aircraft landed at Frankfurt airport safely and we fully cooperated with the authorities to complete the necessary checks, following which the flight was authorized to conclude the trip”. the spokesperson said.

The flight subsequently landed in London at around 11:40 p.m. local time.

The airline also said that flight UK21 operating from Delhi to Paris landed safely at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. The aircraft was taken to the isolation bay for mandatory safety checks and then cleared to resume operations.

According to the airline, flight UK161 operating from Delhi to Hong Kong landed safely at Hong Kong International Airport and all safety procedures were followed.

Meanwhile, Akasa Air said early Saturday morning that its flight QP 1366 scheduled to fly from Bengaluru to Mumbai on Friday received a security alert shortly before departure.

“Therefore, as per safety procedures, all passengers had to be disembarked as necessary procedures were followed by local authorities. We ask for your understanding as our ground team did everything possible to reduce the inconvenience,” the airline said. in a post on X.

Several Indian airlines have received bomb threats since October 14.
