Skoda Kylaq spotted during testing, many new details revealed

Skoda Kylaq Skoda has announced the name of its first sub-4-metre SUV, Kylaq. The new spy video of the SUV has revealed some key features that can be expected. Sharing the MQB-A0-IN platform with the Kushaq and Slavia, Kylac is all set to enter one of the most competitive segments in the market. According to the new spy video, the new Kylak will have a single-panel sunroof and alloy wheels. Which is only expected on the top model. It also has roof rails and a shark fin antenna. The taillights will be L-shaped LED lights, but like the Hyundai Venue, it may not have connected lights. The spy video also reveals that Kylak will be available in red or orange colors.

Skoda had previously confirmed that the Kylak will feature a split headlight design with LED daytime running lights and a Kushaq-style front grille, albeit with some minor changes.

The global launch of Kylac is expected to take place at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025. Reports suggest that production could begin later this year. The SUV is expected to hit showrooms in February 2025.

Skoda Kylaq: engine

The Kyllac will be the third model based on the MQB-A0-IN platform and will be offered with a single powertrain. It will be powered by a 1-litre turbocharged petrol engine that will deliver 114 PS and 178 Nm of power. The engine will be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter transmission.
