Anupam Tripathiwho rose to fame with his role as Ali Abdul in the 2021 Netflix drama series Squid Game, has spoken out about Song Joong-ki. In an interview with News18Anupam said that his fluency in Korean surprised Joong-ki. Anupam also praised the actor. They worked together in Descendants of the Sun, Arthadal Chronicles, and Space Sweepers. Anupam praises Joong-ki

On working with Joong-ki in Arthadal Chronicles, Anupam said, “On set, he was always surprised by my Korean. He would always say, ‘You speak Korean really well.’” Praising him, Anupam added, “With him on set, you don’t feel like you’re with a superstar. He’s very humble and very kind.” Anupam also praised Kim Seon-ho, calling him “a very cheerful and friendly person.”

Anupam has also been a part of shows like King the Land, Strangers from Hell, Taxi Driver, Hospital Playlist, Rain or Shine. He has starred in films like Space Sweepers, The Heartbeat Operator, Miss and Mrs. Cops, and Asura: The City of Madness. Fans will next see him in the series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. IC-814 was hijacked by five terrorists on 24 December 1999, 40 minutes after taking off from Kathmandu. The plane, carrying around 180 passengers, was held hostage for seven days and flew from Kathmandu to Amritsar and then to Lahore. It refuelled in Lahore and left for Dubai. From Dubai, it headed for Taliban-controlled Kandahar, where all passengers were released on 31 December 2000.
