Horror comedy film, Stree 2, has taken the box office by storm. The makers of the film, Maddock Films, shared a post on Instagram revealing the first week collection of the film. ‘Stree 2’, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has reportedly collected over Rs 400 crore in the first 7 days of its release worldwide.
The caption of the post reads: “An amazing week of blockbusters! Thank you, audience, for your love.”
The film’s gross collection in India currently stands at Rs 342 crore, while the worldwide gross collection has touched Rs 59 crore, taking the total to Rs 401 crore as of first Wednesday.
Stree 2 has also become the fastest Bollywood film to gross Rs 400 crore, beating films like Jawan (11 days), Animal (11 days), Pathaan (12 days), Gadar 2 (12 days), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion; Hindi version (15 days) and KGF: Chapter 2 Hindi version (23 days).

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has grossed Rs 3.65 crore so far today and this figure will be much higher by the end of the day.
The film’s total box office collection currently stands at Rs 274.35 crore nett in India. However, the film’s worldwide gross collection has crossed the Rs 400 crore mark.
The film got off to a good start, collecting over Rs 51.8 crore at the box office on its opening day. The film’s collections peaked on the first Sunday, when it collected Rs 55.9 crore.

The film was released in theatres on 15 August 2024, with a runtime of 149 minutes. It was made on a budget of Rs 50 crore.
