Subhadra scheme is revolutionary for women empowerment: District Magistrate

Rourkela News: The state government has launched an innovative scheme called ‘Subhadra’ to economically empower women and provide security to their families. The aim of the scheme is to create awareness about women’s rights by providing them financial assistance, improving their health and education status, promoting financial independence and entrepreneurship, encouraging digital financial literacy and empowering them for personal and professional growth. On Saturday, district administration Manoj Satyavan Mahajan held a press conference on behalf of the district administration and shared information about the Subhadra scheme. He gave information about various measures taken by the administration for the same. He said that there is no time limit to join this scheme. Beneficiaries should not rush to submit the form at public service centres and my service centres but should fill it peacefully and submit it properly. The form is completely free of cost and if money is taken from the beneficiaries, strict action will be taken against the concerned organisation or person.

The form is handed out at 1,312 public service centres and 334 monthly service centres in the district.

17 blocks, three municipal councils and Rourkela Municipal Corporation at Anganwadi centres, Mo Seva Kendras, Jan Seva Kendras of the district issued 7,92,326 Subhadra forms and out of which 5,75,565 forms were distributed to the beneficiaries and distribution of forms is still underway. The forms are being digitized at 1312 Jan Seva Kendras and 334 Mo Seva Kendras in the district. For any queries, assistance or complaints related to Subhadra Yojana, the government can be contacted on toll-free number 14678. Similarly, toll-free number 18003457461 has also been issued at the district level. A help desk has been opened to assist the beneficiaries. The responsibility for this has been assigned to two officers. Awareness Rath will be travelling from 7th to 16th September to create public awareness about Subhadra Yojana. He also said that all the beneficiaries will be included in this welfare scheme and will help in bringing about economic and social improvements. Additional District Magistrate Ravinarayan Sahu, District Public Relations and Information Officer Nandini Mundari, Security Officer Chuleshwari Patel and others were present on this occasion.

Two chariots set out to spread awareness about Subhadra Yojana

Two chariots were flagged off from the Rourkela Metropolitan Corporation (RMC) office premises on Saturday to create public awareness about the ‘Subhadra’ scheme. RMC Commissioner Ashutosh Kulkarni inaugurated it by displaying the green flag. This awareness programme will continue till September 16. On this occasion, Anganwadi workers including Rourkela Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner Pallavi Nayak, Deputy Commissioner Tarun Kant, District Public Relations and Information Officer Seema Fatima Ekka, Rourkela Urban Integrated Child Development Project CDPO Darshini Ekka and Rourkela Industrial Integrated Child Development Project Sukeshini Kerketta were present.
