The cryptocurrency market has exploded over the past 24 hours. Almost all cryptocurrencies are trading in the green and Ripple’s XRP is no exception.
Now, one popular analyst has come up with a rather optimistic price prediction, but other metrics are worth looking at as well.
Ripple (XRP) price may go crazy
According For DustyBC, a well-known analyst with over 150,000 followers on X and other channels, the price of XRP could go “crazy.”
Its chart, though fairly simple, shows XRP trading towards the upper boundary of a flag pattern, which, if broken to the upside, could prompt a move towards $2. This would mark a more than 3x increase from the current level.
As Cryptopotato reported Yesterday, XRP gained more than 9% on a weekly basis and the trend is tilted upwards. Momentum could be better, but if the cryptocurrency actually breaks the pattern to the upside, this could result in higher volume and subsequent gains.
What about other XRP metrics?
A noticeable decrease can be seen in some on-chain metrics.
For example, the number of payments from one account to another has decreased by 26% over the past week.
The number of active accounts (unique senders) also decreased by more than 50% in the last day.
The number of executed transactions on XRPL also fell today and it is interesting to monitor whether this is due to lower activity over the weekend or if there is some sort of more worrying trend forming.
