IPO-bound foodtech platform Swiggy on Friday announced the launch of its 10-minute food and beverage delivery service, Bolt.
It is already operational in key locations in six major cities – Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Chennai and Bengaluru – and will expand to more areas in the coming weeks. Bolt offers fast food delivery service to select restaurants within a 2 km radius of the consumer.

“The service will continue to expand to additional areas in the coming weeks,” Swiggy said.
Bolt offers popular dishes like burgers, hot drinks, cold drinks, breakfast items and biryani that require minimal preparation time.
It will also focus on ready-to-pack dishes such as ice creams, sweets and snacks, Swiggy said.
In particular, delivery partners are not informed of the distinction between Bolt and regular orders, meaning they are not penalized or incentivized based on delivery time, the food technology specialist shared.
