Taiwan plans to replace the Yun Feng 2 missile with a Ching Tien hypersonic missile. The name of the project being carried out is Feiji No. 2. What is hypersonic weapon?

In common language, hypersonic weapon means a weapon that travels at a speed 5 times the speed of sound. That is, the weapon that can fly in the air at a speed of 6115 km/h or more. If this weapon flies over the sea at a speed of 1220 km/h, it will be difficult to attack it.

How many types of hypersonic weapons are there?

There are mainly two types of hypersonic weapons. First: gliding vehicles, i.e. those that float in the air. Second: cruise missile.
