Tata Group to hire 4,000 technical women from Uttarakhand for its Tamil Nadu and Karnataka facilities

He Tata Group is preparing to hire 4,000 female technicians Uttarakhand for its component manufacturing and assembly plants located in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The recruitment drive will be carried out under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NAT) and the National Plan for the Promotion of Learning (Naps).

On Monday, the Tata The group informed the Uttarakhand state planning department about the upcoming recruitment process. This initiative is in line with the ongoing efforts of the Uttarakhand government, led by Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami, to provide employment opportunities to the youth of the state.

The recruitment drive is focused on Tata facilities in Hosur, Tamil Nadu and Kolar, Karnataka. Candidates who have completed 10th or 12th grade are eligible for NAPS, while those with 10th, 12th or ITI diplomas are eligible for NATS. The selection process will include tests and the selected candidates will be appointed as workshop technicians.

In addition to a fixed salary, the Tata Group will provide accommodation, food and transport to the selected candidates. These technicians will be recruited under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and will be given appointment letters based on their qualifications under the NAPS and NATS programmes.

According to Tata Group’s letter, the women recruited will work as shop floor technicians and operate sophisticated automated machinery in the assembly of precision electronic products under supervision. The company will ensure that their accommodation, food and transportation needs are covered as part of employment benefits.
