Tata Power Solar installs rooftop solar systems at 600 locations in Chhattisgarh

Tata Solar Energy Systems Ltd (TPSSL) has installed rooftop solar systems in more than 600 locations in Chhattisgarh The rooftop solar installation initiative of the company, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), was launched after the success it saw in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Kerala, a company official said on Sunday.

Through the installation of rooftop solar systems under the initiative, ‘For solar energyTata Power ke Sang’, started in the middle of this year in the state, was officially launched by Tata Power Company TPREL Managing Director and CEO Praveer Sinha and TPREL Managing Director and CEO Deepesh Nanda this week, the official said.

The initiative aims to make clean energy available to every household in the state, building on the commitment to promote sustainable energy solutions across India, he said.

Chhattisgarh has emerged as a major hub for TPSSL’s activities and initiatives, with a portfolio of over 600 installations, equivalent to over 250 MW of capacity across residential, commercial, industrial and direct projects. The initiative will cover all 33 districts of the state, he said.

Under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, residents can get a central government subsidy of Rs 30,000 for 1kW, Rs 60,000 for 2kW and Rs 78,000 for a 3-10kW system, he said.


These subsidies were intended to make solar energy The facilities will be more accessible and affordable, allowing every household to switch to renewable energy without financial burden, he said.
