Tensions between two parties over horticulture plan, BDO demands investigation

Khorimhua.

On Wednesday, tension arose between two parties regarding the gardening scheme at Kathoua village under Dhanwar block. While one party alleged that the work was being carried out using JCB and demanded action by BDO, the other party alleged that JCB was being executed on private land and demanded an inquiry by the authorities. Rajkumar Yadav of a party said that local residents and beneficiaries of the horticulture scheme, Sweety Kumari and Ramchandra Pandit, were accused of manipulating the scheme with the connivance of Panchayat-level officials and demanded action by the BDO. He said that the workers should be made to work as per the scheme. But the beneficiaries violated the rights of the workers by carrying out the work using JCB. He said that this was done wrong as per the MNREGA Act. On the other hand, Ajay Pandit, Visheshwar Pandit, Ravi Pandit etc. On the other side they said that the horticulture scheme was being implemented properly but the problem arose when Arvind Pandit, the owner of the land adjacent to the scheme, asked JCB to cordon off his land. The trench was cut and during that time people from one side were making videos and photos and making them viral. On the matter, Dhanwar BDO Devendra Kumar said that the whole matter has come to his notice. A block officer has been appointed for the investigation. Further action will be taken after the investigations.
