BRABU: The admission process for Master of Business Administration (MBA) course will be held next month at the building of the Directorate of Distance Education of Bihar University in Muzaffarpur. Preparations for setting up the department on September 5 are in full swing. Verification of the graduation copy was going on at the proposed building for the department itself. Due to this reason the department has not been able to start yet.
Inauguration of the department on September 5
The university has informed that the department will be able to open on September 5. Preparations are underway in this direction. The MBA department has its own bank account open, but there are no funds in it. In such a situation, the university has been required to provide start-up capital for the department. A total of 13 rooms were needed for the functioning of the department. Of these, 11 rooms are available. Preparations are underway for the installation of the staff room and office, etc. The process of arranging light bulbs, fans, whiteboards and other necessary materials in the classroom is ongoing.
Approval of candidacies for 120 seats
It was informed that the MBA department will be set up on the third floor. In such a case, a lift will also be installed to reach there. Preparations are being made in this regard too. Let us tell you that the All India Council for Technical Education had approved the commencement of the MBA course in the college for the session 2024-26. The council has approved nominations for 120 seats.

The University informed that the syllabus of many other institutes recognised by the Council for imparting the two-year MBA course has been studied. The syllabus is being prepared on this basis. The committee formed for this purpose is busy finalising the syllabus.
What did the vice-chancellor say?
The rector of the University had said in a press conference last month that the course had been recognized. In such a situation, a management department will soon be established. Please be informed that the MBA course is already being taught in self-financing mode in the Department of Commerce of the University. After the start of the MBA course in the Department of Management, the operation of this self-financing course in Commerce will be stopped from the next session. The fees for the MBA course conducted here will be lower.
