The body of a missing middle-aged man was found in a river in Lakhisarai; police are busy solving the murder mystery.

Bihar News: The body of a middle-aged man, missing for three days in Lakhisarai, was recovered from the Kiyul river. The SDRF team fished out the body which was identified as Naresh Mahato, son of deceased Bhageri Mahato, a resident of Khawa Chandratola village under Mednichowki police station area. Resh Mahato was missing for the last three days (September 15). The police have registered a case of murder and are questioning some people and arresting them.

SDRF removed the body, suspected murder

With great difficulty, the SDRF team fished out the body of Naresh Mahato, who had been missing for three days, from the Kiyul river. Mednichowki Police Station In-charge Chittaranjan Kumar said that Naresh Mahato had been missing for the past three days (September 15). The family members informed the police station following which the police intervened and search for the missing person was launched. In this regard, following fear of drowning in the Kiyul river, the SDRF team was called from Munger and search was launched in the Kiyul river.

The body was tied to the container.

The SDRF team started the search under the supervision of the police. With great difficulty, the body of the drowned middle-aged man was pulled out after three hours. Two cans (decanters) were tied to the body. Due to which people started talking about the murder of Naresh Mahato. The police detained the body and sent it to Lakhisarai for post-mortem.

What did the police chief say?

In this regard, Mednichowki Police Station In-charge Chittaranjan Kumar, while confirming the discovery of the dead body, said that an FIR has been registered against a total of four persons at Mednichowki Police Station on the statement of the deceased’s wife Kanno Devi regarding the murder case.

Discussion on murder and drowning in the Kiyul River

Let us tell you that there is talk of murder of Naresh Mahato, a resident of Khawa Chandratola, while he was drinking alcohol at a liquor shop. According to information, there is an illegal liquor distillery at Kutlupur Diara, on the other side of the Kiyul River, and it is rumoured that Naresh Mahato had come here to drink liquor. While drinking alcohol there, the killers might have beaten him up and then murdered him. After killing Naresh, they tied two tin jugs to his body and after filling them with soil, the body might have drowned in the Kiyul River.

Accused in custody revealed secrets

Actually, Naresh was missing for three days. When the relatives informed the police about this, the police investigation was started. On suspicion, two persons from Khawa were arrested and interrogated and they said that they had killed Naresh and drowned him in the river. Then the police reached the above-mentioned spot with the help of the SDRF team. The drowned body was recovered after a search in the river. The deceased has eight children from two wives. It was said that Naresh was beaten to death for demanding wages.
