83 students will be admitted to MBBS at Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Medical College (SNMMC) in Dhanbad in Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Joint Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has released the first round seat allotment list. The cut-off for 33 seats in the unreserved quota is 659 marks in NEET UG. The chances of admission range from 664 marks (rank 16375) to 659 (rank 19963). MBBS admission of students selected in the first round of seat allotment began on Friday. The last date for admission is September 5.
The total number of seats in MBBS course at SNMMC is 100. Out of these, 83 are from the state, 15 from the all-India quota and two from the central nominee quota.
Talking about EWS quota, EWS up to 651 marks will be admitted in the first selection list. At the last spot i.e. 83rd rank are the students of BC Two Blind category. Those who scored 168 marks up to 1129223 rank got the spot. Experts say that the cut-off for ST category has been 415 marks. A student who scored 415 marks has been allotted an admission spot in SNMMC. The cut-off for SC is 550 marks.

If seats remain vacant, the second selection list will be published on the 20th.
If the seats remain vacant even after the allotment of seats in the first round, the state merit list for the second round will be released on September 10. The list of vacant seats will be released on September 11. The process of filling up the election will be started from September 11 itself. The second selection will be announced on September 20. Registration will be open from September 21 to 26.
