Rourkela News: Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) Director-in-Charge Atanu Bhowmik launched the new Digital Project Management Solution (DPMS) at a function organised at the Director-in-Charge ‘Manthan’ conference hall. On this occasion, Executive Director (HR) & Additional Managing Director (Project) Tarun Mishra, Executive Director (Finance & Accounts) AK Behuria, Chief General Manager (Iron) & Acting Managing Director (Works) B Palai, Chief General Manager (In-Charge) MM) Anil Kumar and many other Chief General Managers and senior officials of the plant were present. DIC expressed happiness over the newly launched software and appreciated the efforts of the team associated with the project. Prior to this, Tarun Mishra discussed various features of the software. General Manager (Project) Dilip Kumar Sahu gave a brief presentation on the key features and functionalities of the new software. It is noteworthy that the new software has been developed by M/s Mansicom Consultants Pvt. Ltd. with the help of the project department on the Pulse platform of M/s Bentley Systems, USA.

Meeting module included to facilitate efficient communication.

DPMS offers a comprehensive set of features to increase efficiency and standardize processes. Highlights include cloud-based operations for scalable access, an advanced L-2 scheduler for accurate monitoring, and 5D BIM for enhanced visualization. The platform also includes a note sheet module for simplified approvals, a mobile app for on-the-go site management, and an integrated alert system, an email broadcast system, an online obstacle log, and a meeting module to facilitate efficient communication.

It will have real-time tracking capabilities for bidding, execution progress and payments.

The DPMS will serve as a central document repository with real-time monitoring capabilities of tenders, execution progress and payments, integrated with Metal Junction for e-tendering, CET’s EDDMS for design engineering and SAP for payments and BOQ management. This will be made possible through seamless integration with F1. The launch of DPMS marks the beginning of a new era in digital project management at RSP, which will set a new benchmark for handling complex project lifecycles with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
