Bomb Blast in Kolkata: This afternoon, SN Banerjee Road in Kolkata reverberated with the sound of explosions. One person has been injured in this blast. The Kolkata Police issued a statement saying that they received information at 1:45 pm that a bomb blast had taken place on SN Banerjee Road. In this blast, a person collecting garbage was injured. Following this, the injured person was admitted to the hospital.

Kolkata police said they immediately surrounded the scene of the incident with yellow tape and traffic was also halted for some time. A bomb disposal team was sent to the spot. Traffic was normalised only when the bomb disposal team gave the all clear.

After the explosion, we immediately reached there and saw that a person who was collecting garbage had been injured. He was injured in his right hand.
