In the meeting, DM said that the district administration is ready for the state status of Shri Maunia Baba Mahaviri Jhanda Mela. Its process has been sent to the entire government. To finalize the administrative preparations, DM SP on Tuesday held a joint meeting with officials of various departments, BDO, CO station house officer, fair management committee members, peace committee members and license holders at Maunia Baba fair complex. In the meeting, it was decided that there will be a complete ban on DJ, orchestra, display of lethal weapons and spears. Deputations at sensitive places, cleanliness in the city and proper lighting arrangements will be made during the procession. There will be continuous monitoring of various places through CCTV cameras and drone cameras. , DM said that many public representatives including MPs proposed a state fair which was forwarded to the department. Keeping in view the inconvenience caused to the city residents due to power outage for a long period during the procession, it was suggested to provide power supply after the stipulated period for the procession. On which directions were given to make coordinations and take decisions. Addressing the meeting, SP Amitesh Kumar said that adequate number of police force will be deployed in view of the fair. Women police officers will be deployed at various places. There should be provisions for lighting in view of the fair.
