Bahraich News: The terror of the dreaded wolves continues in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. These wolves are continuously attacking humans. For some time now, wolf attacks have been known in many villages in the area. Last night, a wolf attacked an elderly man of the village. In this fatal attack, the elderly man grabbed the wolf’s mouth and with great difficulty was able to save his life. Let us tell you that the Forest Department had launched Operation Bhediya to catch these wolves. According to the Forest Department, they have caught 4 wolves so far and two wolves are still roaming free.
The victim narrated his terrible experience
The person who was injured in the wolf attack during the night has narrated his ordeal. He said: “At 4am I was attacked by an animal… It attacked my neck with its jaws. It was bigger than a jackal. I couldn’t recognise the animal. I was nervous at that time. So I am not sure what animal it was. If I hadn’t caught its mouth, it would have killed me.”

The CHC official said this is a matter of investigation by the forest department.
Following this incident, the injured reached the hospital. Speaking to the media on this, Dr Ashish Verma, in-charge of Mahasi CHC, said, “Both the persons suffered minor injuries. One person arrived at 2 pm and the other at 5 am. Their condition is not serious. The patient has claimed that it was a wolf attack. However, this is a matter of investigation for the forest department.”
