Udaipur stabbing: On Friday, a 10th grade student at a government school in Udaipur stabbed his classmate with a knife after an argument over homework. Communal tension arose in the district following this incident. According to police, the accused and his father have been detained for questioning in the case of carrying a knife to school. In this incident, the victim’s mother alleged, “My son has been killed. Now the administration is not allowing us to meet him.” She also led a demonstration by a group of 30-40 women from Mukherjee Nagar Chowk. Raising slogans, the protesters reached Maharana Bhupal Hospital where the boy is undergoing treatment. She has also demanded to meet the victim.

District Collector Arvind Poswal has appealed to restore peace

During the protest, District Collector Arvind Poswal arrived at the spot, while an argument broke out between the two sides as the protesters alleged that the victim had died due to the injuries and the family was not informed about it. On this entire issue, District Collector Arvind Poswal said, “There was some confusion as the family did not have any information about their son. They were informed about all the developments. The child is stable and teams of doctors from Kota and Jaipur are keeping a watch on him. The family has been provided with contact numbers of medical officials, so that they can talk to them whenever they want. “I asked two of them to come with me and meet the child in the ICU.” He further said, “The family protested based on rumours. “We urge everyone to stay away and cooperate with the police to restore peace in the area.”
