The Meteorological Department has said that there will soon be a decrease in rainfall in the state. The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of reduced rainfall activities in the eastern areas after Saturday. According to the Jaipur-based meteorological centre, from Wednesday morning to 5.30 pm, 41.5 millimetres (mm) fell in Fatehpur, 20.8 mm in Alwar, 11 mm in Sikar, 9 mm in Anta, 8 mm in Chittorgarh, 7.4 mm in Churu, 6.1 mm in Pilani mm, 5.4 mm of rain was recorded in the capital Jaipur. Heavy rains began in Jaipur on Wednesday evening.

Flooding in many areas
The Meteorological Department has said that due to the afternoon rain in the capital Jaipur, water accumulated in Bajaj Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Mahesh Nagar and many other areas. There was a lot of difficulty in driving due to waterlogging. Traffic also remained congested at many places. Apart from this, due to heavy rains in the morning, waterlogging was seen at many places in Bagru. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, during the last 24 hours up to 8.30 am on Wednesday, maximum rainfall of nine centimetres was recorded in Mandawar of Alwar and Bhinay of Ajmer.

It rained in many places
The Meteorological Department said that six centimetres of rainfall occurred in Laalsot of Dausa, six centimetres in Udaipurwati of Jhunjhunu, five centimetres in Niwai of Tonk, five centimetres in Pawta of Jaipur, Bhainsrodgarh of Chittorgarh, Pokhran of Jaisalmer, Raipur of Pali, Shergarh of Jodhpur and many other places recorded rainfall ranging from four centimetres to one centimetre.

There will be a reduction in rainfall after August 17
At the same time, Radheshyam Sharma, in-charge of Jaipur Meteorological Centre, said that there is a circulatory system over northeast Rajasthan. Due to this, rain will fall in Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer and Kota districts of the state between August 14 and 15. He said that heavy rainfall may also occur in some areas. There is a possibility of reduced rainfall activities in eastern Rajasthan after August 17. with language input
