Have you ever boarded a plane with a knot in your stomach, dreading the dreaded “lost luggage” Advertisement? You’re not alone. Millions of travellers deal with the anxiety of losing their luggage every year. But worry no more! One flight attendant has taken to social media to offer a simple yet effective tip to minimise the chances of your luggage going missing.

According to a video that went viral on social media, a user known as @cici.inthesky shared how the key is to use AirTags. These small, coin-sized devices from Apple leverage Bluetooth technology to track the location of your belongings. Simply attach an AirTag to your luggage and use the Find My app on your phone to monitor its whereabouts during your trip.

This clever trick offers peace of mind in several ways:

Real-time tracking: See the location of your luggage at every stage: from check-in to baggage claim.

Lost luggage recovery: If your bag goes missing, the AirTag can pinpoint its location, helping you or the airline in recovery efforts.

Peace of mind: Knowing exactly where your luggage is can significantly reduce travel anxiety and allow you to focus on enjoying your trip.

In fact, in a Reddit thread, people shared their own stories about how using AirTags made their travel experiences easier. One user shared: “I took a two-week trip to the UK in 2021, Heathrow was a mess (BA strikes). Our original flight was delayed/cancelled but we had already handed in our bags. So the next day when we finally got on the new plane, I was able to track the bags and make sure they were on the planes we were going on. It really helped me stay calm there. While we were in the UK, we were travelling by train. We had one bag in the main luggage compartment. Someone grabbed the wrong bag by mistake and I got an alert quickly enough that we were able to retrieve it without any issues.”

Another user also shared their experience of being able to see the live location of their luggage and retrieve it. “I was traveling from Florida to Atlanta and then had a connecting flight to Cape Town, South Africa. When I arrived in Cape Town, I looked and one of my bags was still in Atlanta. I could see where it was. It was delivered to me within 48 hours because I knew its location,” they wrote.
