Thomas Müller makes history for Bayern Munich in a thrilling 3-2 win over Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga

German veteran Thomas Müller has set a club record for Bayern Munich for Bundesliga appearances.

The 34-year-old Müller made his 474th league appearance for Bayern on Sunday, coming on as a second-half substitute against Wolfsburg.

Previously, Müller had shared the club record of 474 goals with goalkeeping great Sepp Maier.

Müller, who retired from international football after the European Championship, joined Bayern in 2000 at the age of 10. He made his Bundesliga debut under manager Jürgen Klinsmann as a last-minute substitute for Miroslav Klose on the opening day of the 2008–09 season in a 2–2 home draw against Hamburger SV.
