The second woman is being treated at Nirsa CHC while doctors referred the passenger to SNMMCH after checking her serious condition. No complaint has been lodged with the police in this regard. Efforts are on to reach a settlement in the matter. Station House Officer Manjeet Kumar said that information has been received regarding the incident. How the incident occurred: Seven women, a child and two men from Madhraidih village had gone to Chirkunda from their home to take a group loan. While returning from there in the tempo, smoke started coming out of the tempo near Nirsa Chowk. The passengers on board asked the driver to stop the pace, but the driver said there was no major problem. We will take everyone to the village. The tempo driver is also a resident of the same village. The women asked the tempo to stop at a sweet shop near the electricity office for breakfast. When the driver tried to stop the pace, the brakes failed. The road of the electricity office is completely down. As soon as they heard that the brakes of the car had failed, two passengers, a man and a woman, jumped out of the car. Mangala’s head fell on the ground. People took him to the Nirsa CHC, where the doctor declared him dead after an examination. By then the driver controlled the pace after travelling some distance. Nothing happened to the other passengers during the tempo. After receiving the information, the family members of the deceased arrived from their home. The villagers said that no one was at fault for the incident. We will sit in the village and sort out the matter. The husband of the deceased works as a daily wage labourer. He has a son and a daughter. After the incident, the family members are in a bad condition and crying. Jimut Tiwari, his wife, Sulekha Rai, Lalita Rai, Jiya Ram Rai and many others were travelling at the pace.
