Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis’ office tweeted saying that Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed the Thane Police Commissioner to immediately suspend the Senior Police Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector and Head Constable of Badlapur Police Station. Demand for women’s safety is increasing
Shiv Sena (UBT) also expressed anger over the incident of alleged sexual harassment of a girl at a school in Badlapur. Party MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has said that it is a very sad incident. She said that every time people say that they will fight for women’s rights and get justice, but after elections, no one listens to them. The protesting women say that they do not want to get benefits under the Chief Minister’s Sister Scheme. She has demanded safety of women in the state.
