The real reason for not installing a sunroof
In fact, according to Toyota, this sunroof is not suitable for Indian climatic conditions. The problem is that temperatures in India are extremely high (reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius), which makes sunroofs ineffective in these conditions. The sunroof also increases the load on the air conditioning system. Moreover, some Toyota cars like the Innova and Fortuner come equipped with roof-mounted air conditioning units, which may have compatibility issues with the sunroof.

So, perhaps Toyota has focused on other features that are more important to Indian customers, such as the infotainment system or the addition of storage compartments. If Toyota realises that most customers want a sunroof, they might consider adding it in the future.
