Train wheels to stop in Mumbai on Sunday, mega block to be installed

Indian Railways: There is an important news for the residents of the industrial capital of the country, Mumbai and that is that the wheels of local trains will stop on Sunday, August 18, 2024. There will be a mega block of trains. The reason is that engineering and maintenance work on the lines will be carried out on Sunday. During this period, many trains were cancelled and routes of many trains were diverted. Central Railway has released the schedule for the convenience of passengers before starting the maintenance work.

Route diversion of these trains

According to information provided to the media by Central Railway, on Sunday, the fifth and sixth lines between Thane and Diva will be blocked from 10.50 am to 3.20 pm. During this time, the Down rapid-semi rapid local from Badlapur local (CSMT departure at 09.46 hrs) to Asangaon local (CSMT departure at 02.42 hrs) has been diverted on the Down slow line between Thane and Kalyan stations. In addition to the scheduled stations, both the trains will also stop at Kalwa, Mumbra and Diva stations. It will reach its destination 10 minutes late from the scheduled time.

Also, the UP Rapid-Semi Rapid local from Ambernath local (Kalyan departure at 10.28 hrs) to Badlapur local (Kalyan departure at 03.17 hrs) has been diverted into the UP Slow line between Kalyan and Thane stations. In addition to the scheduled stations, it will stop at Diva, Mumbra and Kalwa stations. The Rapid line has been diverted again at Thane station. These trains will also reach their destination 10 minutes late from the scheduled time.

These trains have been cancelled.

Also, Central Railway has cancelled a few trains due to maintenance work. During this period, the Up Harbour Line will remain blocked from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm and the Down Harbour Line will remain blocked from 11:40 am to 4:40 pm between CSMT Mumbai and Chunabhatti-Bandra stations. During this time, Down Harbour Line services for Vashi-Belapur-Panvel will depart from CSMT Mumbai from 11:16 am to 4:47 pm and Down Harbour Line services for Bandra-Goregaon from 10:48 am to 4:47 pm have been cancelled till 4:43 pm.

Also, Up Harbour Line services from Panvel-Belapur-Vashi for CSMT Mumbai will depart from 9:53 am to 3:20 pm and Up Harbour Line services from Goregaon-Bandra for CSMT Mumbai will depart from 10:00 am to 3:20 pm. PM will be cancelled from 45 minutes to 5.13 pm.
