Iran: Amid the war situation between Iran and Israel, the Indian government had issued a travel advisory to all Indian citizens urging them to avoid non-essential travel. “We are closely monitoring the recent escalation of the security situation in the region. Indian citizens are advised to avoid all non-essential travel to Iran. Those currently residing in Iran are requested to remain vigilant and in touch with the Indian Embassy in Tehran,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement.

Natural Disasters

Tamilnadu: The state is experiencing heavy rainfall, which is causing widespread disruption. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert, advising caution and avoiding travel to the affected areas. Chennai is facing severe waterlogging, flooding and traffic jams, while Kancheepuram is also at risk of flooding due to heavy rains.

Florida: Florida had recently faced two hurricanes, named Milton and Helena, which have caused widespread destruction along the entire United States coast. is potentially preparing for a third hurricane after Milton and Helene swept and devastated the US coast. The state is now bracing for a third hurricane, likely to be named Nadine, as hurricane season continues. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is reportedly monitoring a developing weather system in the Atlantic.

Colombo: Recently, the Sri Lankan capital faced an onslaught of floods during heavy rains. Schools in Colombo and nearby areas had been closed due to widespread flooding. More than 134,000 people have reportedly been affected, with three dead and 7,000 evacuated, according to the Disaster Management Centre.
