Searches for travel to Britain and Ireland rise as Oasis prepare to reunite

This one’s for Woodstock lovers! Shortly after British rock band Oasis announced their highly anticipated reunion tour next summer, searches for trips to Britain and Ireland have seen a dramatic increase, according to Spanish online travel agency eDreams, Reuters reported.

Searches for flights increased almost 30-fold on August 27, the day Oasis announced their return to the stage, eDreams reported. Tickets for the 14-show tour, billed as the “big event of 2025”, go on sale in Britain and Ireland from Saturday.

Interest in some tourist destinations increased even more. Searches for trips to Cardiff, the Welsh capital, increased more than 100-fold compared with the previous year. Searches for Manchester, the Gallagher brothers’ hometown in the north of England, increased eightfold, and interest in Dublin increased sevenfold.

This comes after days of intense speculation on the internet after the band and the Gallagher brothers hinted at a possible reunion, following their bitter backstage feud in 2009 that saw them split.

Among travellers, Italians were the most interested in visiting the cities hosting Oasis concerts, followed by Spaniards, Germans, and British and French citizens.
