The Harry Brook-led English side decided to bat first, with Ben Duckett and Will Jacks leading the charge as Phil Salt lost his wicket early. Jacks scored 62 while Duckett got to 95, with stand-in captain Brook and Jamie Smith helping out with the scores of 39 and 23 respectively. But the English were bowled out in 49.4 overs after scoring 315 runs. If Australia’s batting stood out, Marnus Labuschagne was another star in the visiting side as he got three wickets to his name. Also, it was a memorable day for Adam Zampa as he played in his 100th ODI match and put up the figures of 10-1-49-3 throughout the encounter.
