Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.Both former Democrats, have endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 race. The former showed her support for the former president during an event in Detroit, Gabbard on Monday. Like Kennedy, she criticized the Biden-Harris administration for the chaotic withdrawal from the US war in Afghanistan. Independent candidate RFK Jr He had spoken about “corruption” within the Democratic Party and the situation in Ukraine.
Gabbard said Donald Trump “understands the grave responsibility that a president and commander in chief has for each of our lives.” She appeared with the Republican nominee at the National Guard Association of the United States on the third anniversary of the Aug. 26, 2021, suicide bombing at Hamid Karzai International Airport that killed 13 U.S. service members and more than 100 Afghans. The former congresswoman, a National Guard veteran, accompanied Trump earlier Monday to Arlington National Cemetery.
RFK Jr suspended his 2024 campaign last week. At a news conference in Phoenix, Arizona, the 70-year-old said he would seek to remove his name from the ballot in 10 battleground states. “There are still many issues and approaches where we continue to have very serious differences. But we agree on other key issues,” he said.
Now, there is speculation about whether Gabbard and Kennedy will make it into Donald Trump’s cabinet if he beats Kamala Harris on November 5. RFK Jr. was asked about the same. He said there was “no commitment” to a position within the administration in exchange for his support.
Speaking to Fox News Sunday, he said: “There has been no commitment, but I met with President Trump, with his family, with his closest advisers and we made a general commitment that we are going to work together.”
Tulsi Gabbard has yet to speak openly about the possibility of taking a position in the Trump administration.
