itarsi: Two carriages of the Kamalapati-Saharsa passenger train train wreck in Madhya PradeshOn Monday evening, a train moved to Itarsi railway station. The incident took place on platform number 2. The train was travelling to Saharsa in Bihar from Rani Kamlapati railway station.

There are no reports of injuries so far. Senior officials rushed to the scene after receiving the information. The derailed coaches were apparently air-conditioning coaches.

Train movement has reportedly been disrupted at platforms 2 and 3 due to the derailment. Authorities are working to clear the tracks. More details are still awaited.

On July 30, a passenger train travelling from Howrah to Mumbai derailed between Rajkharswan West Outer and Barabamboo in Chakradharpur division. Two people were killed and 20 others injured in the derailment. The incident occurred near Barabamboo in Seraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand, approximately 80 km from Jamshedpur.

On July 18, at least 10 to 12 coaches of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express train derailed near Jhilahi railway station in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. The train, number 15904, was en route from Chandigarh to Dibrugarh in Assam. Four passengers were reported to have lost their lives and 30 others were injured in the rail accident.
