Panjwara. In the ongoing drive to arrest alcoholics, Panjwara police arrested two alcoholics from Vikrampur area on Monday evening. The arrested drunkards were identified as Abhimanyu Kumar, father Dewari Yadav, a resident of Paparwa village under Baunsi police station area of Banka district and Vikas Kumar Yadav, father Vinod Yadav of Koraiyavaran. Both of them had come from Godda district of Jharkhand after consuming alcohol. Breathalyser test confirmed that they were drinking. The arrested alcoholics were sent to Banka under judicial custody for financial penalty.

Dandy. During the raid operation, the Excise Department team arrested a youth in an inebriated condition near Jilabia curve. In this regard, Superintendent of Excise Ravindra Kumar Singh said that the arrested youth has been caught in an inebriated condition for the second time. He has undergone medical examination and has been remanded in custody.

Panjwara. In the ongoing drive to recover illegal liquor, Panjwara police recovered 10 litres of country-made Mahua liquor from Maratikar area on Monday night. Giving information about this, Station House In-charge Manish Kumar said that during night patrolling near Maratikar bend in the area, the police signaled the youth coming on a bike to stop. On seeing the police, the youth riding a bike threw the bag and ran away taking advantage of the darkness. During investigation, the police recovered a total of 10 litres of country-made Mahua liquor from two plastic boxes present in the bag and a case was registered against an unknown liquor smuggler in this matter.

Barahat. Late on Monday night, according to information from villagers, Barahat police arrested two youths from two different villages who were creating ruckus in an inebriated state. After the arrest, a medical check-up of both the youths was conducted at the Barahat Community Health Centre. After investigation confirmed consumption of alcohol, an FIR was registered against both of them at the police station on Tuesday and they were sent to Banka under police custody. According to information, the accused caught by the police is Bittu Kumar, father of Parmanand Singh of Chhoti Kharwa village, while the other accused is said to be Ashwani Kumar, father of Jaikant Rai of Simaria village. Station House Officer Deepak Paswan said that two youths were arrested and sent to court for creating ruckus after drinking alcohol.
Three guarantors went to jail
Dhoraiya. Following a tip-off, the local police arrested three detainees at two different locations in the police station area. Station House Officer Ashok Kumar said they include Vidyanand Yadav and Surendra Yadav of Maliachak village, while Mohammad Sallan, a resident of Baijnathpur village. All three have been sent to Banka jail under judicial custody.
