Mukesh Tiwari and Birbhum: Two tribal women were beaten to death on charges of witchcraft in Harisara village of Birbhum, West Bengal. Tensions have set in in the village following the incident. Police have arrested 6 persons in this case. Troopers have been on patrol since Friday night. The bodies of both were recovered from a pond on Saturday morning. The deceased women have been identified as Lodgi Kisku (60) and Dolly Soren (59).
