Two women buried alive in Rewa, dumper driver arrested

Madhya Pradesh: In Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, some criminals crossed the limits of brutality in a land dispute. Two women were buried alive for protesting against the forced construction of a road on private land. However, nearby people pulled the women out in time, which saved their lives. In this case, the police arrested the dumper driver and registered a case against three persons.

What did the DIG say about the Rewa incident?

On the Rewa incident, DIG Rewa Saket Prakash Pandey said, there is a family dispute over land in the Pandey family. The complainant’s father-in-law was making his way in the field. Mud was falling from the dumper. Then both the women were buried in it. There are three accused and one has been arrested. Footage is being collected to identify more people. The DIG has clearly denied any atrocities against tribals in the case. He said both the parties in this case are from upper caste. It is absolutely wrong to add the tribal issue.

Father-in-law and brother-in-law committed cruelty

The attempt to bury the women alive was none other than the father-in-law and Bhajite. Both the accused are on the run since the incident. The incident of women being buried alive took place in Hinauta Jorout village of Rewa. Some powerful people were forcibly constructing roads on private land. Mud was being poured on the ground. Then both the victimized women started opposing him. Then the dumper driver threw mud on both the women due to which both of them were buried underground. When the women were taken out by removing the soil from the ground, their condition had worsened. It was difficult to save him even if there was a little delay. Both of them were in a state of disarray.

Congress targets BJP government

The Congress fiercely attacked the BJP government for the brutality meted out to women in Rewa. While sharing the video of the incident, the Bhopal Congress wrote on Twitter, “The result of 20 years of BJP misrule is that goons are thriving in every district.” The viral video is from Mangava village in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh where goons tried to forcefully kill a woman. Anyway, Madhya Pradesh has nothing to do with women’s safety. This incident is very shocking and shameful.

There is anger among the local population over the incident.
