Udaipur : Devraj, who was seriously injured in a knife attack in Rajasthan’s Udaipur, has finally lost the battle of life. He died during treatment on the night of Rakshabandhan. Devraj’s death shocked not only Udaipur but also the entire state. During this time there was chaos among the family members. Here, after consulting throughout the night, the family members agreed to take the body. Meanwhile, Devraj’s body was handed over at 5.15 am on Tuesday, where it was taken to his home with tight security. The presence of policemen and administration officials turned out to be the last journey of the dead body. Later the body was cremated amid tight security.

Last Friday, due to a personal dispute, Devraj, a 10th grade student of a government school, was severely injured by his classmate Ayaan, who stabbed him in the thigh with a knife. After this incident, Devraj was undergoing treatment in the ICU. He died during treatment last night. Following the incident, there was anger in the city. Seeing this, the administration was put on high alert. Here the family refused to accept the body. After the incident that lasted till late at night, the family accepted three demands and the body was handed over to the family at 5.15 am.

During this, the funeral procession was taken out with security measures. After this, the last rites were performed with full respect. During this time the relatives started crying a lot and were seen touching them. On the other hand, everyone was shocked by the screams of the deceased’s mother. It was also becoming difficult to deal with the family members. Here the administration has declared even today a holiday in schools and colleges. Also, internet access will be banned in the area today.

Devraj died during treatment on Monday evening. As soon as people heard the news of his death, there was a sensation in Udaipur. People started gathering at various places. Due to this, the administration chased him several times. During that time, a crowd of people gathered in front of the hospital and started shouting slogans. Here, the family refused to accept Devraj’s body. Later, talks between the administration and the relatives continued till late in the night. In this, three demands were agreed upon. Among them, financial assistance of Rs 51 lakh, contractual work for a family member and action in the ST SC Act case were demanded.
