Union Minister Giriraj Singh, who was in Ballia in Begusarai, Bihar, was allegedly attacked during a rally on Saturday. The BJP leader was conducting a Janata Darbar programme in his local constituency at the time of the incident.
The MP’s supporters beat up the accused before handing him over to the police. The accused, who the BJP MP said was dressed as a moulvi, had come to the Janta Darbar with a petition.
Addressing the media, the BJP MP He said, “The bearded person dressed like a Moulvi came to me with a request and asked me to look into it.”
Singh told the media that he informed the man that the programme had ended and that he should have arrived in time for his request to be heard.
“He then started shouting slogans at me. At one point, it seemed like he was going to physically attack me,” she said.
The Minister also stated that the person was not speaking appropriately.
“He was overpowered by the people who had gathered there. He was later handed over to the police,” he said.

In an apparent reference to MuslimsThe MP said, “Those who pamper these people by seeing their beards and caps, should see how love, jihad and communal tension are being created across the country as well as in Begusarai.”
Speaking to news agency ANI, Giriraj Singh highlighted the attitude of Muslims towards him in Begusarai and said that the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath Perhaps you are right when you say “if you divide, you will be divided.”
“If this man had a gun in his hand, he would have killed me the way he attacked me. He used very offensive language… I will continue with my work, I will not deviate from my objective, I will not fear anyone’s threats, I will continue with my campaign,” the MP said.
“No matter how many people come to spread terror, it will not affect me… The Muslims protested so much in my area, they were so angry that when I was in the public court, despite the presence of all the SDOs, DSPs, he behaved so rudely,” he added.
