UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Kashi Vishwanath temple on Saturday and offered prayers to Baba Vishwanath. As the CM of UP, Yogi Adityanath attended Baba’s court for the 125th time. Earlier, the Chief Minister reached Varanasi and held a review meeting with the officials on development works and law and order. He also gave instructions to maintain proper arrangements in the temple for the remaining days of the month of Sawan.
First CM to visit Baba Vishwanath for 125th time
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Varanasi on Saturday. As the Chief Minister of UP, Yogi visited Baba Vishwanath for the 125th time. This is Yogi’s second visit in the month of Shravan. The UP CM had also visited Baba’s court on the first Monday of Shravan.
UP CM performed ‘Shodashopchar Pujan’ of Shri Kashi Vishwanath. Yogi Adityanath is the only Chief Minister who has visited the court of Baba Vishwanath and Kashi’s Kotwal Kaal Bhairav 125 times. Gorakshapeethadhiswar Mahant Yogi Adityanath’s devotion towards Sanatan Dharma and culture is often visible. Yogi performed the worship in Kaal Bhairav temple as per rituals.
CM Yogi gave instructions for the convenience of the visitors
The Chief Minister of UP has played an active role in the construction of Kashi Corridor. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been a witness to every moment from Bhoomi Pujan to inauguration for the redevelopment of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The Chief Minister gave instructions for easy darshan of the devotees coming to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
Senior priest Shrikant Mishra said, ‘As a representative of the state, the Chief Minister’s devotion and his inner connection with Baba is visible. Yogi ji always worships Baba with the feeling of country, state and public welfare.’ Yogi had visited Baba Vishwanath 93 times from 26 May 2017 to 11 December 2022. He completed a century of darshan in March 2023.
On 17 August 2024, he completed his 125th visit. Before this, after reaching Varanasi, Yogi held a meeting with the officials and reviewed the development works. At night, he also inspected the development works on the roads of Kashi.
