The film directed by Karuna Kumar The journey of his character from youth to old age will also be showcased. The first trailer of the film was released recently and the transformation of the character was brilliantly showcased.
Shooting progresses in Kakinada
Currently, the shooting of Matka is going on in Kakinada. In this crucial schedule, the team will shoot for talkies and action episodes involving the leads. A poster released by the makers shows Varun Tej in the back posing with a gun in his hand, standing in front of a cruise ship at Kakinada harbour.
Matka covers a period of 24 years
Matka is set in a period setting and the team is trying hard to give it a retro feel. The film spans a period of 24 years from 1958 to 1982 and features Varun Tej in multiple different looks. The film is shaping up to be a landmark project for Varun Tej.
The film stars Meenakshi Chaudhry and Nora Fatehi as the female leads. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music, while A Kishore Kumar is handling the cinematography. Karthika Srinivas R is the film’s editor. The film is produced by Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri under the banners of Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainment.
