VC ordered the engineer to repair immediately
In fact, on Thursday morning the Vice Chancellor and officials of the university were inspecting the vacant and encroachment lands of 24 Parganas. During this time, the employees living in the neighbourhood told the Vice Chancellor that the roof is leaking during the rainy season. The balcony is falling down. In view of this, the VC directed the engineer to repair it immediately. Regular cleaning of the campus was also ensured. The Vice Chancellor also enquired about the security measures there. During the inspection, the Bal Niketan school located on the campus was also inspected.
Bal Niketan will be repaired first
The VC said that Bal Niketan Vidyalaya will be renovated at any cost so that the children of the college staff can study here in a better environment. Bal Niketan will be repaired first. If required, a new building will also be constructed to meet the shortage of classrooms.
He directed the engineer to paint and plaster all the walls located at the main gate of the college. At the same time, the vice-chancellor expressed his displeasure that paper blocks have not been put up in the administrative building of the college yet. CCDC Dr. AC Ghosh, Engineer Anjani Kumar along with personal security guard of VC, PA etc. were present during the inspection.

Vice-chancellor furious after seeing invasion of university land
During the inspection, the Vice Chancellor was enraged after seeing encroachment on the University premises in different campuses of the University including Lalbagh, University Main Gate and Student Service Centre etc. He said that cattle like cows, buffalos etc. are tied on the University premises which is very sad. The University premises will be made encroachment free. The University administration is serious about the matter of encroachment. Instructions have been given to the University Chancellor in this regard. It is the responsibility of the Proctor to keep the University premises encroachment free. Proctor with the help of the district administration should immediately make the University premises encroachment free.
