She thanked her family doctor, who played a major role during this difficult time. She told TOI, “Thanks to his guidance, I understood that it is a disease like any other and we had to fight it together as a family.”

“My job was to take care of their stress. That’s the first thing the caregiver or the family has to do. I hate to make this comparison, but since I’m writing a fantasy, I have to say it: Like in Sagar Manthan, the family has to take the poison out of the mind of the suffering family member, hold it and bear it,” added Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
