Violence in Bahraich: There has been a new twist in the case of violent dispute, stoning and murder of a youth between two communities during the immersion of Durga idol last Sunday in Bahraich, UP. Earlier there were reports that Hameed and Salman had crossed the lines of brutality with the late Ram Gopal. They pulled out his toenails with a file, attacked him with a sword and then shot him to death.
Bahraich police said Ram Gopal died due to a gunshot wound. The police called the allegations of cruelty against her false and called it mischief on the part of some people to spread rumours. Due to the incident, the atmosphere in the district deteriorated and tension spread among the people.
The Bahraich police made this appeal
In an appeal, the police stated that, with the aim of disturbing communal harmony, misleading information such as electrocution of the deceased, killing with swords and pulling out nails, etc., in which there is no truth, are spread on social media.
An autopsy determined that the cause of death was due to a gunshot wound. Apart from one person, no one else has died in this incident. Therefore, everyone is requested not to pay attention to rumors or spread misleading information to maintain community harmony.
Let us tell you that in fact, citing the post-mortem report, news spread that Salman had not only pierced Ram Gopal’s chest with a pistol but had also pulled out the nails from both his toes. It is also alleged that Ram Gopal was imprisoned in Hameed’s house for around 15 minutes. During this period, he was also stabbed several times with a knife. After this, Salman fired six shots at him. The shell casings recovered at the scene also confirm this.
Confirmation of extraction of 22 shrapnel from the body
According to the police, the post-mortem report confirmed that 22 shrapnels had entered the body of the deceased Ram Gopal Mishra. Shrapnel was found stuck in the deceased’s face, neck and chest. Which clearly shows that he was shot with more than three cartridges. The deceased was also shot below the shoulders to confirm death.
Internet service deteriorated
Internet service, which was closed in Bahraich for two days, has been restored. Internet service has been restored as of 12 midnight on Wednesday. Let us tell you that 10 cases have been registered so far in the violence that took place in Maharajganj of Mahsi area. A case was registered against the killers in the name of the family of deceased Ram Gopal Mishra, in which the police arrested the Dane alias Shaheer.
Secondly, the police have registered 6 cases against those involved in arson, riots and riots across the area, in which 54 people have been sent to prison. Three cases have been filed on behalf of the Muslim community for arson, vandalism and assault.
