Viraf Patell and Salonie Patel are preparing to welcome their first child
The acting couple Salonie and Viraf Patell Everyone is ready to welcome parenthood in their lives. Salonie is pregnant and is expected to deliver a baby in a couple of months. Naamkarann fame actor Viraf Patel tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Saloni Khanna on May 6, 2021.
Viraf-Salonie to welcome first child
Viraf tells ETimes, “I feel like I should get an award for starting a family (laughs). A Parsi baby adds to the community at a time when we need more babies.” The couple recently went on their honeymoon to London. He shares, “An acting project took me to London in May. Salonie joined me there. One of her friends, who is also pregnant, also joined us later. So it was a lot of fun, two pregnant couples hopping in and out of the tube, walking through the beautiful parks of London and driving through the countryside. At the end of the shoot, I thanked Hansal Mehta sir for choosing me for a good project and unwittingly helping me have the most lovely honeymoon.”
Viraf adds: “Salonie wants a boy and I want a girl. But honestly, we both want our baby to be healthy. We are both looking forward to the surprise and are preparing to fulfill our duties as a mom and dad. Salonie is going to be a fierce mother who will make sure that I don’t mess up my duties as a dad.”
Viraf Patel and Saloni Khanna had initially planned an elaborate wedding, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they tied the knot in a simple court ceremony in Bandra, Mumbai.
Viraf is a Parsi and Saloni is from Punjab. The couple met during an online show.
