A recent video circulating on social media captures an air-conditioned local train packed with passengers trying to board, making it impossible for the doors to close. Despite repeated attempts, the doors refuse to close as more passengers try to get in. The clip concludes with two men at each door pushing through the obstructing passengers to finally close them.
This video highlights the daily challenges faced by passengers on Mumbai local trains. Known for their high volume of passengers, these trains often exceed their carrying capacity, especially during peak hours. The situation worsens during monsoons and other events, leading to uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous conditions for passengers.
The video, shared on X by the user Bombay Newshas garnered over 92,000 views and a wave of comments. It is titled: “Watch how AC local train in Mumbai turns into ‘cattle class’ in Mira Road.”
