Fusion food Videos are trending on all social media platforms. From chocolate raj kachori to butter chicken golgappa, videos mixing two completely different dishes are going viral in no time. Some of these combinations find a niche among food lovers, while others end up being strange experiments. Among the hundreds of food fusions that we see every day, a unique dessert has caught our attention. We all know jalebi, right? This delicious sweet, shaped like circles and soaked in sugar syrup, is loved throughout the country. But what if we told you that we found this delicious dessert served with pineapple ‘stuffing’?

In an Instagram video, we see how this fusion dish is prepared in a sweet shop in Surat. The clip begins with the vendor heating ghee in a pan. Next, take precuts. pineapple pieces of a plastic bag and cover them with jalebi dough. Then drop these pineapple pieces into the hot ghee. After frying for about 15-20 minutes, dip the pineapple jalebis in sugar syrup. The side note says: “Pineapple Jalebi Indian Fusion Sweets.” Take a look:
If you find it hard to believe that a dish like this exists, you are not the only one. While some believed that this fusion works because of the sweet factor of both the pineapple and jalebi, others were not entirely convinced. One user said: “It is popular in South India with banana and in Canada with other fruits.” Another added: “Ngl looks delicious.” Someone commented: “I’ve tried it and it’s delicious.”
Some users pointed out the health problems of eating pineapple jalebi. One user said, “No wonder India leads the world in terms of largest diabetic population.” Another comment said: “Leads to liver problems.” Someone chimed in: “This is called inviting your own death.”
