The creators of the upcoming film Thaanara unveiled a new song from the film titled Sona Ladki via their social media pages on Wednesday, August 21. The song has an old-school feel, offering a throwback to the songs of the 60s with a touch of quirky naughtiness sung by Nevin C Delson. The composition by Gopi Sundar has lyrics by Harinarayanan BK. The music video has been primarily shot by the actor Vishnu Unnikrishnanwho plays a major character in the film. The artist’s upcoming comedy film features Tom Chacko Shines and Vishnu Unnikrishnan in the lead roles.
A peculiar trailer
The trailer of the film Thaanara was recently released by the makers of the film. The trailer begins with a voiceover by Shine in the character of Adarsh Sreevaraham, introducing Vishnu’s character Ramamoorthy as an influential figure in ‘Delhi politics’. Through a montage of fun-filled, quirky and hilarious shots that follow, the viewer gets to know the other lead actors of the film: Deepti Sati like Sradha, Aju Varghese as James Bond, Sneha Babu as Asha and Chinnu Chandni as Anjali. The trailer promises an extremely funny comedy of errors and quirky performances from the entire cast.

Thaanara has been written by Raffi, the legendary writer best known for co-writing many iconic Malayalam comedies like Punjabi House (1998) and Thenkasipattanam (2002) with his long-time collaborator Meccartin. The upcoming film has Vishnu Narayanan wielding the camera, V Saajan on editing and Gopi Sundar composing the soundtrack and original songs. The upcoming film has been bankrolled by Biju V Mathai, along with co-producer Suja Mathai. KR Jayakumar and Biju MP have served as its executive producers.
The film will hit the big screens on August 23.
