Zomato’s official customer service handle X responded to the viral post and thanked the user for sharing the video. He also asked for the order ID number so that the delivery agent could be identified. Zomato wrote, “Hi Vikunj! Thanks for highlighting the extraordinary efforts of our delivery partner! They really went above and beyond and braved the extreme weather like a superhero. To help us recognise and celebrate their efforts, could you please share the order ID number or details about the area and timing of the delivery? This will ensure that our superhero delivery partner gets the recognition he deserves.”

As the video gained popularity, it generated a variety of reactions online. While some praised the delivery agent for his commitment to his job, others criticized the customers’ decision to place orders during such extreme weather conditions.

One user said: “This person who works hard and dedicated should be rewarded like this by the company.”

Another added: “Excellent job and well done to Zomato’s delivery partner.”

One comment read: “These heroes deserve special recognition.”

Some users seemed upset with people putting the lives of delivery workers at risk. They posted comments like: “This is inhuman and dangerous. He is risking his life for a Rs 500 order. He wouldn’t have done this if he was on a minimum wage. Please tell delivery workers not to deliver under such conditions.”

“People who place orders should also think: how is someone going to deliver food through flooded streets? They are also human beings,” reads one comment.
