CM Yogi Adityanath addressed the programme of distribution of appointment letters of 1036 candidates selected under the recruitment process conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC). During the same, he said that the appointment process of 26394 posts was completed by the UP Public Services Selection Commission between 2012 and 2017. In this, youths of General category were selected for 13469 posts, OBC for 6966 posts, SC for 5634 posts and ST for 327 posts. At the same time, 46,675 recruitments were made in our government through UPPSC and a total of 17,929 OBC candidates were selected.

On the issue of reservations, CM Yogi held up a mirror to the opposition parties and said that people from the reserved category got the maximum number of government jobs in our government. In the SP government, from 2012 to 2017, 26,394 posts were recruited through UPPSC. Many irregularities were uncovered and the CBI is also conducting investigations into recruitment in many posts.

According to CM Yogi, earlier the percentage of OBCs in government jobs was only 26.38 per cent. In turn, in our government, 46,675 recruitments were conducted through UPPSC and a total of 17,929 OBC candidates were selected in this, the percentage of which is 38.41. If the percentage of OBCs, SCs and STs is added, then more than 60 per cent of the candidates in the dual government have been selected through the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Selection Commission.

He said that it is now possible to get a job in the Uttar Pradesh government without any recommendation or compromise. For the last seven and a half years, our government has been distributing appointment letters to youth as per reservation rules.

CM Yogi said that before 2017, the youth of Uttar Pradesh were facing an identity crisis. The state’s economy was at the sixth or seventh position in the country, but now when the youth go to any state in the country, they proudly call themselves Uttar Pradesh. The state’s economy is ranked second in the country. UP is the state with the highest economic progress compared to any other state in the country.

Candidates appointed for these positions

CM Yogi selected 536 Research Assistants (Statistical), 235 Statistical Assistants, 213 Junior Assistants, Accounts Clerks, Market Supervisors Category 2, Market Inspectors, 15 Cartographers/Mappers in the recruitment process through Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission and distributed appointment letters to a total of 1,036 youth including 37 Cartographers.

These youth have appointments in Medical Health and Family Welfare, Environment, Forests, Zoological Parks and Climate Change, Mandi Parishad, Fisheries Department, Economics and Numbers Division, Cooperatives Department, Town and Country Planning, Tourism Department, Minor Irrigation and Institutional Finance.
