Currently, a systematic vegetable market is being organised near VSS market in Chhend, the largest residential colony in the city. This market is held on Wednesdays and Sundays. Similarly, on the way to Kalinga Vihar, vegetable markets are organised on both sides of the road on Fridays. Due to the establishment of this market, there is a lot of difficulty in transportation. The possibility of accidents also persists. Therefore, there has been a demand for developing a market here for a long time. Now this initiative has been taken up by the administration. After the project is completed, people will be able to buy vegetables from an organised market similar to the VSS market.

On Saturday, he along with his team visited the under-construction market complex at Basanti Colony. Besides completing the work expeditiously, he has given instructions to provide all kinds of facilities to the traders here. It is noteworthy that the traders here were evicted ahead of the Hockey World Cup-2023. A market complex is being constructed at the place from where the traders were evicted. After which the shops will be handed over to everyone. Currently all the traders are settling under the flyover.
