Murder of a doctor in Kolkata: The CBI, which is investigating the alleged rape and murder of a doctor at the RG Kar government hospital in Kolkata, capital of West Bengal, is focusing on how the crime was carried out in the hospital auditorium without any hindrance. A CBI official said the door latch was broken due to which the door did not close properly. We are investigating whether anyone was present outside the auditorium during the crime.

The officer said preliminary investigation revealed that the door was not working for some time due to broken latch. He said the victim had entered the auditorium between 2 and 3 a.m. on the night of August 8-9 and a doctor on duty had seen her sleeping in the auditorium.

During the interrogation of doctors, interns and junior doctors, it was revealed that all of them knew that the door latch was damaged and that was why the doctor could not close the door that night. The CBI also filed a RG in the case on Friday. registered the case at the Medical College and Hospital. The interrogation of former director Sandeep Ghosh continued. Apart from this, the agency produced suspect Sanjay Roy before the court. The court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.

The body of a woman doctor was found on August 9 in the auditorium of the R. G. Kar Government Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. The Kolkata Police arrested Roy the next day in connection with the incident. On August 13, the Calcutta High Court handed over the investigation of the case to the CBI and the next day the central agency took over the investigation from the Kolkata Police.
